Warranty conditions
What is covered by the lifetime warranty?
At My Moissanite, we pride ourselves on creating high-quality jewelry that lasts a lifetime. While it’s rare for our pieces to encounter defects, we understand that no item is completely free from potential issues.
That’s why we offer a lifetime warranty on all our products. This warranty covers:
- Material or manufacturing defects, such as loosening prongs or stones falling out without a clear external cause.
- Repairs or replacements due to any functional issues resulting from production flaws.
If your item requires a repair or replacement covered under our lifetime warranty, we will fix or replace it free of charge.
What is not covered?
Our lifetime warranty guarantees quality but does not cover:
1. Misuse or Abuse
- Exposure to harsh chemicals, such as cleaning products or chlorinated water.
- Physical damage, such as impacts, bending, or dropping the jewelry.
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs performed by anyone other than My Moissanite or a recommended local jeweler.
2. Normal Wear and Tear
- Minor scratches or scuffs on the metal caused by daily use.
- Discoloration or Tarnishing: Over time, all jewelry is subject to natural environmental exposure, which can cause changes in appearance.
- Silver jewelry is rhodium-plated to maintain its bright, polished finish and protect against tarnish, but natural exposure can lead to slight fading or dullness of the rhodium layer.
- White gold jewelry is also rhodium-plated to enhance its brilliant white finish, which is standard across the industry. While the rhodium layer can wear down over time, the underlying metal is always solid gold.
- Gradual thinning or shaping changes of the jewelry over time.
Please note: All of our jewelry is made of solid silver, gold or platinum—it is not plated steel or hollow. Normal environmental effects on metal surfaces do not impact the structural quality of the piece.
3. Lost or Stolen Items
Lost or stolen pieces are not covered under the warranty.
4. Damage from Natural Events
Damage caused by floods, fires, or other natural disasters is excluded.
Shipping Costs
For the first warranty claim, we will fully cover the shipping costs in both directions. For subsequent warranty claims (the 2nd or 3rd), the customer will be responsible for shipping costs to and from our facility.
Warranty Claim Process
- To initiate a claim under the warranty, customers are required to submit clear photos of the damaged item.
- Complete the Return and Repair Request Form.
- Once the claim is received and approved, it typically takes 1 to 2 business days for us to process. However, the actual repair or replacement may take several weeks, depending on the nature of the issue.
Additional Notes
- Items modified by third-party jewelers based on My Moissanite's recommendation remain fully covered under the original warranty.
- The lifetime warranty applies to the original purchaser's lifetime.
- Each replacement item issued under warranty also includes a lifetime warranty.
- A maximum of two warranty claims are allowed per item.
